The Perfect Pushup

Thanks for visiting my "Test It Tuesday" blog. Unlike my regular blog, this will be done once a week and give you a behind-the-scenes look of our "Test It Tuesday" trials.

This week, we put the "Perfect Pushup" through its paces. It's a device designed to make the work of doing push-ups not so much easier, but more efficient. Meteorologist Demetrius Ivory got a set of suction cups (that's what they look like) for Christmas. So we borrowed his pair and put them to the test.

A trip to Wexford and the Oxford Club was the site of this week's test -- and thanks to the staff at the club for allowing us to use their facilities. Demetrius was so excited about the shoot that he actually got a new workout shirt. I think he got it to show off his biceps, but that's just me.

Along with the help of fitness trainer Sarah McDonough, Demetrius gave the "Perfect Push-Up" a try. The results? While it does make each push-up much more intense, I think the focus on trying to make sure your wrists turn when you go up and down takes away from the whole push-up experience. Demetrius and Sarah gave it a "3" ... and I agree. Grudgingly.

Still, I'm looking forward to testing more products - with you. Please send me your "Test It Tuesday" ideas and let me know if you would be interested in testing some products with me on TV.
